In session 14, 7 Habits of highly effective HVAC entrepreneurs,” we will explore 7 habits that allow hvac marketing company to thrive during times of disruption and transformation.

1. Disruptions & Change

Heraclitus said it best, “Τα πάντα ρϵι,” (The only constant in life is change) life is filled with constant disruptions and we are in a constant state of change or transformation. As we navigate this process of living, dying and rebirth over and over again there are certain habits that will help us get the most out of this experience. Our panel of industry experts will share with you 7 critical habits that have been reinforced in their minds as we navigate this disruption, apply them to the hvac marketing company Model, and learn to Thrive in the New Normal.

2. Compensated for Services – Compress Time

Anybody can build a complicated machine, thought structure, or process. It takes a true genius to make it simple. The great equalizer in life is time. We all have the same amount of time everyday what we do with that time makes all the difference. When we have excess storage capacity, financial resources and perceived time we become complacent. When resources are scarce we are forced to accomplish more with less. By applying a scarcity mindset all the time we end up with an over abundance in the long run.

3. Customer for Life – Perspective

It is human nature to surround ourselves with yes people and those that expose similar thoughts and beliefs. We end up placing ourselves in echo chambers that prevent us from seeing the entire picture or worse yet not seeing the truth at all. In order to thrive through disruption and transformation we must be willing to look at all situations through many perspectives. By doing this we challenge our belief structure and forces us to follow the path less taken.

4. Marketing Plan – Paranoia

Those who fail to plan, plan to fail. Plans are worthless, but the process of planning is indispensable. A good plan violently executed today is better than a perfect plan next week. Be afraid, be very afraid. Fear is the primal instinct that promotes survival, fear motivates us to take action, to protect ourselves and loved ones and to do extraordinary things. What things should you be paranoid with? The more you have the more you have to be paranoid with in order to protect what you have worked so hard for.

5. Customer Reaches out – Keep doing, start doing, stop doing

It’s pretty safe to state that everyone wants better results in both their personal and professional lives. In order to achieve better results, though, you must eliminate the distractions that plague you daily and learn how to identify and focus on the things that really matter. If you can identify the activities in your day that will produce the greatest impact, and then find ways to concentrate on those activities most of the time, your results will be vastly superior.  No single skill or habit has a more powerful impact on results than the ability to eliminate distractions
and focus on the High Leverage Activities (HLAs) that have the greatest potential to advance your strategic goals and objectives, both personally and professionally.  Remember, what consumes your mind consumes your life.
If you want extraordinary results, and if you want to get those results faster, in a compressed time frame, it requires focused thinking. Focus is not something that comes naturally for most people, and that’s why it’s a skill that must be learned, polished, and practiced. Distractions are a natural occurrence in every person’s life. When something pops into our mind, our brain often wants to move in that direction. If we lack the discipline and focus to stop that process, distractions can rule our lives and consume our valuable time.  High Leverage Activities get you the results you need faster, with less expenditure of time, money, energy, and talent. Conversely, Low Leverage Activities (LLAs) consume resources and drive results more slowly. Identifying HLA is simply a powerful organizing principle for prioritizing your to-do lists. It gives you a much better sense of what’s activity and what’s productivity. During this session, we will dive into specific systems to help you Achieve Accelerated Results.

6. Appointment Made – What Matters First

A lot of time and effort is spent worrying about things that we cannot control, conversely we often become paralyzed in taking actions in the things that we can control. When we step back and objectively weigh the things we truly can control and the things that we can’t we then have the ability to either, “Let it go,” or “Make it happen.” Either way a conscious decision must be made.

7. Problem Identified – Think Outside the Box

That’s the way it has always been done, these words echo though out the HVAC industry and have been one of the biggest challenges to growth and innovation within our industry. Imaginary rules get put in place that stifles productivity and problem solutions until a major disruption comes along and throws us so far outside of those imaginary rules that allow us to find new solutions to both old and new challenges that we face. By removing the rules or this is the way we have always done this we open ourselves to the possibility of truly leading the industry vs. constantly playing catch up.

8. Problem Solution – Intention Direction

Most of us have good intentions but without direction, we become a slave to the reality we built. For example, we all have the intention to go out and be successful but without direction and a plan that success could enslave us and prevent us from achieving our full potential.

9. Embrace Technology

Now is the time to identify the process for every transaction within your business! Use technology to help increase your business’s overall efficiency. What manual process does your company utilize that could be automated? Review your current business operation methods and identify those that can be improved with technology.

10. Thank and Encourage your People

Your staff is one of your most valuable assets. They may have concerns, need reassurance, and want to know how they can help. They need to hear from you. Even in these unprecedented times, find ways for employees to enjoy their workplace and take time to recognize extraordinary efforts.
